Armand Douglas “Armie” Hammer born on August 28, 1986 is an American actor. He was born in Los Angeles, California. His mother Dru Ann, is a former bank loan officer and his father Michael Armand Hammer, owns several businesses, including Knoedler Publishing and Armand Hammer Productions (a film/television production company). He has A younger brother Viktor.

He attended Faulkner’s Academy in Governor’s Harbour, Grace Christian Academy in the Cayman Islands (a school founded by his father), and later went to Los Angeles Baptist High School in the San Fernando Valley. But he dropped out of high school in eleventh  to pursue his acting career and after a while he took college courses.

He appeared in various television series such as Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, Reaper and Desperate Housewives. His debut film Billy : The Early Years was released in October 2008, where he played the Christian evangelist Billy Grahame. The film earned him a “Faith and Values Award” nomination in the Grace Award category.

In 2010 he was to star in Justice League: Mortal as Batman/Bruce Wayne but he left the project. The same year he co-stared in David Fincher’s The Social Network, about the creation of Facebook. He portrayed the identical twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, with Josh Pence, using CGI.

Further he took on different roles and appeared in various movies as J.Edgar beside Leonardo DiCarpio, co-starred with Julia Roberts and Lily Collins in Mirror Mirror (2012), starred  in Lone Ranger (2013) alongside Johhny Depp, stared as Illya Kuryakin in the remake of 1960’s TV show The Man from U.N.C.L.E film adaption in 2015, The Birth of a Nation (2016), Free Fire (2016) , Mine (2016) , played Oliver in Call  Me By Your Name  opposite to Timothée Chalamet and Michael Stuhlbarg an adaptation of an André Aciman novel of the same name.

Beside acting he has provided voice too as in 2012 he voiced the Winklevoss twins in an episode of The Simpsons titled “The D’oh-cial Network” and has voiced a role in Disney Pixar’s Cars 3.

He married television personality Elizabeth Chambers on May 22, 2010. Their wedding was featured in the January 2011 issue of Town & Country. They have two children, a daughter born in 2014 and a son born in 2017.
