Gal Gadot-Varsano was born on April 30, 1985 is an Israeli actress and model. She was born and raised in Rosh HaAyin, Israel to a Jewish family. Her father Michael Gadot is an engineer and her mother Irit a teacher. She won the 2004 Miss Israel beauty pageant at the age of 18. She served in the military service from age 20 then studied law.

She began modelling in the late 2000’s further leading on international campaigns for  Miss Sixty, Huawei smartphones, Captain Morgan rum, Gucci fragrances and Vine Vera skincare ranges, and Jaguar Cars.  She is the face of Gucci’s Bamboo perfume brand. With growing popularity she was flooded with many projects as as the covergirl on Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Bride Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, UMM, Cleo, Fashion, Lucire, FHM.

She served in the military service from age 20 for two years and then studied law. As she was in her second year she was asked to audition for a part in a movie but did not get it, later on the same casting director cast her for the role of Giesel in the movie “Fast and Furious”. In the movie she performed her own stunts. Her role was expanded in the sequels Fast Five (2011) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013), in which her character was romantically linked to Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang).

She had small roles in the movie “Date Night” and action-adventure movie “Knight and Day”. In 2016 she played Wonder Woman in the movie “Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice”.  In 2017 she starred in “Wonder Woman” as a solo film character and will be reprising the role again in the ensemble “Justice League” which is scheduled to be released on November 17,2017.

Gadot married Israeli real estate developer Yaron Varsano on September 28, 2008. They have two daughters, born in November 2011 and in March 2017.
