Meghan Trainor was born in Massachusetts on December 22, 1993, and raised on Nantucket Island. She is an American singer, songwriter, occasional rapper, musician and record producer who has a  net worth of $4 million.. Trainor wrote, recorded, performed, and produced three independently-released albums between ages 15 and 17. Her family had musical roots , her dad was a church organist and her uncle, Burton Toney, was a bona fide recording artist.As she got more serious, her parents bought her software that allowed her to record her own songs, and she continued on the musical path right through her time at Nauset High School on Cape Cod.

Mainly influenced by the 1950’s and 1960’s eras in music, Trainor’s music has been noted for its  retro style aesthetic. Common themes in her lyrics include subjects of modern womanhood, body image , and empowerment .

Kadish and Trainor wrote “All About That Bass” in 2013.After various record labels declined to have their artists record the song,Trainor recorded the song herself in September that year, and performed it on the ukulele foe Epic Records  chairman L.A.Reid  in February 2014, which immediately led to her signing a deal with the label.Trainor hired Troy Carter  as her manager.

“All About That Bass” was released on June 30, 2014, and its music video  became a viral hit. “All About That Bass” reached number one in 58 countries and became one of the best selling singles of all time , with worldwide sales of 11 million units as of December 2014 and peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200  and number 17 on the Canadian Albums Chart .

In 2014, Rolling Stone  deemed Trainor the year’s “Most Unlikely Pop Star”. While promoting her first album, she was noted for serving as an inspiration to youth who struggle with body image  and bullying.

In 2015, Meghan Trainor was forced to cancel her U.S. “MTrain” tour due to ongoing problems with her vocal cords. After canceling her tour, the singer has been scheduled for surgery to address the vocal cord hemorrhage.The following year, Trainor was back on the stage as seen with a live tribute to pop/soul icon Lionel Richie  on the 58th Annual Grammy Awards telecast. Later that night, Trainor won one of the show’s marquee awards as Best New Artist.
