The singer’s new single, “Malibu,” was released on Thursday afternoon a couple hours after it leaked online. She’s previously said that her new album is inspired by her fiancé Liam Hemsworth – and she wears her engagement ring with pride as she sings about her love for him in the video.

In the beginning, she has a more sweet and innocent style, wearing her hair in bunches and a frilly dress, and as the video progresses her style gets a bit older, with her showing off her amazing figure as she lies on the beach in a bikini. The accompanying music video for “Malibu” is the perfect visualization for the song and sees Cyrus in various locales in and around the picturesque California city. Clad in a series of white ensembles, from sweaters to bikinis to jean shorts and dresses, Cyrus looks happy, centered and sure of herself throughout.

As the singer sings, “We watched the sun go down as we were walking / I’d spent the rest of my life standing here talking,” Cyrus sings. “I never would’ve believed you if three years ago you told me I’d be here writing this song / But here I am next to you.” The music video has been getting a lot of attention after its release.
