Alecia Beth Moore professionally known as “Pink” was born on born September 8, 1979 to a nurse and a Vietnam veteran in the working class Philadelphia suburb of Doylestown, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress.Pink has been familiar to music since she was merely a little child. Pink endured a childhood that her songs have often depicted as tumultuous. But by early adolescence she was dancing and singing for local hip-hop troupes and pop-rock bands, as well as writing her own dark lyrics.

She was signed to her first record label with original R&B girl group Choice in 1995 which was under LaFace Records,only to witness the disbanding of the troupe without any single released.But those connections led to a solo contract with L.A. Reid’s LaFace Records, which put out her debut album, Can’t Take Me Home (Number 26), in 2000. It was certified double-platinum in the United States and spawned two Billboard Hot 100 top-ten hits: “There You Go” and “Most Girls”.

In 2001 Pink released her second album  Missundaztood , it sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and produced three United States top-ten singles, “Get the Party Started”, “Dont Let Me Get Me”, and “Just Like a Pill”.In 2001, Pink appeared with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, and Mya on cover of Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade” that was spawned by the film Moulin Rouge. Try this (2003) Pink’s third album generated lower sales , but did not fail to earn the Grammy Award For Best Female Rock Performance.

Pink again gained her popularity through here fourth and fifth studio albums “I am not Dead (2006)” and “Funhouse(2008)” followed by her second United States number-one-hit “So What”. Pink celebrated her 10 year in the music industry with the compilation album Greatest Hits…So Far!(2010) which included “Fuckin Perfect” and the chart topping Single ” Raise Your Glass”. Pink’s  sixth studio  album “The About Love” 2012 hit the number 1 on the Billboard 200 and gave rise to top ten singles “Blow Me (One Last Kiss) ” “Try” and “Just Give Me A Reason”featuring Nate Ruess which became the fourth United singles.

Pink known for her strong signature vocals and acrobatic performances has sold over 60 million albums worldwide, including over 16 million albums in the United States.She has been awarded three Grammy awards a Brit Award, a Daytime Emmy Award and six MTV Video Music Award . In 2009, Billboard named Pink the Pop Song Artist Of The Decade.She was also the second most-played female solo artist in the United Kingdom during the 2000s decade, behind Madonna. VH1  ranked her number 10 on their list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music, while Billboard awarded her the Woman of the Year award in 2013.Pink has also received acclaim for her “raw”, “soulful” voice and her ability to emote.Pink is known for having “raspy”,”husky”and “distinctive voice.CNN  has said that Pink is known for singing “with the right level of emotion”.Pop artist Kelly Clarkson too believed Pink’s voice to be the “best vocal of our generation”.

Pink aside from her musical achievement has also become known for her style and often seen as “adventurous” with her hair.Pink is an animal-rights activist and a prominent campaigner for PETA, contributing her voice toward causes such as the protest against KFC.On August 21, 2007  in Cardiff, Wales held a concert called PAW(Party for Animals).In 2015, she posed nude for PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur”, campaign.Pink is also diect about LGBT rights and supports same sex marriage.

Pink is also involved with several charities, including Human Rights Campaign, ONE Campaign, Prince’s Trust, New York Restoration Project, Run for the Cure Foundation,Save the Children, Take Back The Night , UNICEF and World World Animal Protection.As of May 2008, Pink has been officially recognized as an advocate for the RSPCA in Australia.In August 2012, Pink became a spokesmodel for CoverGirl , featuring in a fall 2013 advertising campaign themed “beauty with an edge”

Pink met professional motocross racer Carey Hart  at the 2001 X Games  in Philadelphia, followed by a brief separation in 2003. In June 2005 Pink proposed to Carey Hart during a Mammoth Lakes  motocross race , she was assisting in his race and wrote “Will You Marry Me? I’m serious!” on a pit board.They married in Costa Rica  on January 7, 2006.In February Pink announced that Hart and she had separated. Hart subsequently appeared in the video for her 2008 song “So What” which deals with their separation.In February 2010, Pink confirmed that she and Hart were back together.In November 2010, Pink announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she and Hart were expecting their first child In June 2011, she gave birth to their daughter. In December 2016, she and Hart welcomed their second child, a son.

Pink now,37 , is estimated to worth $130 million.
