This American hip hop recording artist was born as Carlos Walker on March 31, 1976 in Oklahoma City. Also know as, Shawty Lo was brought up in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a founding member of the Southern hip hop group D4L and founded D4L (Die 4 Lollipop) Records in the year 2003. His solo debut single “Dey Know”, established him in the industry. This was also included in his solo debut album “Units in the City” which was released in February 2008. In June 2011, Walker announced a joint venture deal with fellow American rapper 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records.
He was involved in a feud with T.I. in 2008 after his song “Dunn Dunn” questioned T.I.’s roots in Bankhead. He is well-known for his TV Series “All My Babies’ Llamas” which caused controversy for feeding a common stereotype of black rap artists, involving promiscuity with llamas.
By the age of 17, he had his first child. On June 16, 2011 Shawty Lo had announced that he has diabetes.
Shawty Lo has a total of 11 children including nine daughters and two sons from ten women.
On September 21, 2016, Tuesday, Shawty Lo was killed in a single-car accident in Fulton County, Georgia. The crash was reportedly occurred at around 2:20 AM when Shawty Lo’s Audi crashed over a guardrail, hit two trees, and caught on fire. He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the spot. Two female passengers, accompanying him, experienced non-life threatening injuries.
