Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born on march 28, 1986 in New York city. She grew up in upper west side of NY with her parents and younger sister Natalie. She used to listen to Queen, Blonde and Elton john to draw an inspiration. She attended all girls school in Manhattan where she was bullied and teased for her personality on the daily basis. But she wouldn’t let that stop her!!

By the age of 4, she was already playing piano and this lead to her performing in an open mic nights
in her early teens. She was accepted by the very prestigious Tisch School of the Arts of NY University when she was seventeen years old. She was among the only 20 who got admission in that institute and took that time seriously. But soon she realized she was not meant to be in college. To her parents dismay, she later dropped out of university to focus on her music career. Her father said he would support her for only one year and if her music career didn’t work then she would rejoin the college. That’s when something changed within her. She decided she needed something more and something different and something that would commend or insist attention and make a statement whenever she came to the stage. She wanted something that would propel her towards stardom and that’s when her stage persona was formed and she changed into ” LADY GAGA”.

During  this time she worked with various producers and musicians. It was 2007 when the music industry started to take notice of her performances in the lady gaga and the star like review. She was hired as the song writer and soon after her vocal talent was recognized by the R & B artist Akon. From there, recording artist Akon noticed helped her to sign a joint deal with Interscope Records and his own KonLive Distribution.

Her debut album ” the fame” came out in 2008 and was combination of genres of pop dance and electronic music. The Grammy winning effort produced singles such as ” the sexually charged love games” and paparazzi” but it was the international hit “just dance” and “poker face” that turned lady gaga into the star.

The singer did her first critically acclaimed headlining tour in 2009.
The album ” The Fame Monster” came the next. This release also had the numbers like “telephone” and “Alejandro”. These songs were accompanied by the controversial videos that they helped her become the
first artist to reach one billion views on YouTube. She also pushed boundaries with her live appearances and fashion statements. Prior to the start of the second concert tour she created blood drenched performance in 2009 MTV video music award. Returning to the award ceremony in 2010 she appeared in an outfit made entirely of raw meat.This caused the storm among the animal right organizations.
Also in 2010, she released a compilation called “remix” which featured alternate version of previous
materials. This was followed by a duet with Elton John for “Gnomio and juliet”

Gaga’s second studio record “born this way” was released in 2011. The single from this album included the title “hair” which was itunes fastest selling track and the track “judus”. The video of judus was subsequently condemned by the religious group and her “born this way” was banned in Lebanon because official deem it”offensive to Christianity”. she sold 1.108 million copies of this album in the first week alone. She also acted in movies like “Machete kills” and ” Sin city a dame to kill for”

Though she is known for her music, she is also known for being philanthropist and a proponent for the equal rights of gays and lesbians. She said,”when I started in the mainstream, it was the gays that lifted me up, I committed myself to them and they committed themselves to me and because of gay community I’m where I am today.”
Around this time Gaga and her mom launched the non-profit organization named ” Born this way foundation” empowering youth and inspiring bravery. Their mission is to foster a more accepting society where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. They say” everyone has right to feel safe to be empowered and to make difference in the world”. They also provide behavioral and mental health services.
She also planned for truly out of the world experience, she is scheduled to be the first musical artist to sing in the space. She is perfect more than anyone else for this job! She is to embark on her Cheek to Cheek tour with her legendary duet partner Bennett.
Gaga is the first to completely rename her fan base, affectionately calling them her little monsters and
and she is their mother monster. She also has a pup named Koji. She revealed her half-million dollar engagement ring gifted to her by now-fiancé, the gorgeous actor Taylor Kinney. The couple also had the nude cover for the magazine V and 100% of sales from this cover will go to the Born This Way Foundation.
